Your CV: Ten Things They'll hate about you

1. Too long: unless you're told otherwise, never exceed 1-2 pages. The reader's life is just too short, and you'll sound cumbersome even if your lengthy material is relevant. At OneLeap, we limit people to 400 words — and they get much better replies as a result.

2. Too geeky: Unless you're after an academic or research position, and you've won an obscene number of awards, don't make more than 1/3 of page 1 about your academics. Degree and any distinctions, yes. Key papers if they're directly relevant, maybe. But you don't summarise every paper you've ever done unless they ask.

3. Too buzz-word: Yes businesses do use buzzwords like «passionate about» but they usually do it because they're tired. Beginning your CV with a mission statement that uses them suggests you're belong in an Episode of The Office.

4. Too generic: Ask one of your friends to read your CV, minus your name, and say it's a friend's who has asked you too look over it for them (you should be so lucky). If they don't twig that it's you neither will the recruiter. People often use their OneLeap profile as their CV. And the less generic, the better the searches — on OneLeap or via Google.

5. Too poetic: Imagine the Daleks said «substantiate» instead of «exterminate.» If you did something say what the result was. Don't just claim magnificent abilities to communicate. Instead try «designed Facebook campaign that attracted 10,000 likes.» Better.

6. Too stupid: Wrong name in cover letter, wrong company when you're writing masses of applications, worng spelling. If it looks sloppy it is. Control+F is your friend. Think of what you could have said by mistake (e.g. wrong gender pronoun or company name) and do a quick final check.

7. Too boring: if you're asked to describe yourself in 100 words make it interesting. Treat adjectives with tongs. Best, strongest, etc isn't credible anyway. Use plenty of specific nouns to describe what you did and why it made a difference.

8. Too full: CVs get skimmed in seconds. Keep to an 11 point minimum. Leave lots of white space. Without it people will give up.

9. Too weak: Be bold — not too bold — but use bold (and if the industry you're applying for is creative enough, other visual devices) to make your super-star points stand out. That way if your reader is skimming (which s/he will be) they won't miss you.

10. Too Accounting OR Too Ad Agency: It should be self evident but different industries have very different CV expectations. If you're applying across multiple industries you will need to do more than tweak your CV. Find out what's right by getting hold of the CV of someone successful in that industry. If you don't have a contact to ask, google for a CV — someone will have the ego to post it online.

If that wasn’t bad enough, a recent government review of the quality-assurance processes of the MERS database discovered that it could not be trusted. The sole purpose of MERS is to keep track and be able to identify who owes what to whom. If that information cannot be verified as accurate, then that can mean disaster for anyone who would potentially like to one day own a home as well as people who already own homes, because this discovery means that upwards of 50% of homes bought and sold over the last decade have uncertain and unmarketable titles.

If your bank is attempting to foreclose on you, there is a good chance that this could be a wrongful foreclosure and that the bank may no longer possess the title to your home due to their blatant disregard for following proper securitization guidelines. If that has happened to your home loan, and you are facing the threat of foreclosure, then that would mean that any foreclosure action taken by your bank would in fact be part of a wrongful foreclosure. In order to determine if you are a victim of a wrongful foreclosure and create a solid foreclosure defense in order to fight it, you should have a securitization audit performed on your home loan documents.

Having your home loan undergo a securitization audit is a must if you suspect mismanagement of your mortgage or are possibly facing foreclosure. With the help of a securitization audit, you potentially gain very tangible evidence to help you in court, stop foreclosure proceedings, and bring about the end of a wrongful foreclosure proceeding on your property. Banks hate these audits because they are so detailed and so good at exposing fraud on the part of mortgage lenders. With the evidence provided by a securitization audit, many times the bank will try to settle as soon as your documents are submitted.

This is why if you need foreclosure help, you should not hesitate to contact Tila Solutions to give you the foreclosure help you need. For over a decade, Tila Solutions has been looking out for the homeowner with their forensic loan audits and securitization audits. If you need help stopping foreclosure, a Tila Solutions Consultant is available by telephone at (702) 508-0335. Or you can visit the Tila Solutions website at forensic audits.

Everyone has attended conferences and venues and AGMs and the like where the facilities supplied were less than ideal. Most of us are adults and so it is never comfortable to have to sit on hard wooden, or even worse, plastic chairs at small tables for any extended period. And yet that is what many of these events expect us to do. Not only are the seats hard and uncomfortable but they all make a noise on the wooden floor.

And the acoustics are less than ideal. If you are in a small room with a maximum of 12 people who are seated in a U of a circle where they are all facing one another it is very different if one is sitting in a large hall with a hundred or more people and they are seated in rows. Anything that the person in front facing the audience says may be heard by everybody. But should someone in the front ask a question someone sitting near the back will battle to hear.

If the object of the meeting is the AGM of a bowling club or a Parents Teachers meeting then it is probably acceptable. If however one is holding an AGM of the shareholders of a big corporation then it is anything but good enough. The objective of any meeting where one wants to impart a message and get the attendees to go away stirred and prepared to take action must keep attention on the message and ensure that everyone in the auditorium feels involved. But in the case mentioned above a lot of the audience will be going home feeling a sore bum and will have in all likelihood missed the point of the show. In any event they are unlikely to be fired up into taking immediate action.

It is imperative therefore that one checks the facilities of the venue one chooses. If one is looking for an auditorium with state of the art audio visual equipment, with superb acoustics, with comfortable seating and a huge screen where all can see the presenter and the screen unhindered than one has to realise that the auditorium of one of Odeon's 100plus multiplex cinemas might just be ideal.

For a start they are plush. Carpeted throughout to keep the sound under control, access to and from the auditorium is always good. There is a large front-of-house for coffee or tea and other refreshments. The rest room facilities are always kept clean and tidy and the locations are always accessible.

Secondly the theatre sizes vary so one can arrange to rent big venue for 1000 people or a small one for 50 depending on one's requirements. And furthermore one can easily arrange a roadshow going from cinema to cinema to get the message to as many people as possible near their residences.

Odeon have a team of event organisers ready to discuss your needs and offer you options so if you are looking for suitable Venue Hire for a conference or product launch or similar event give them a call.

Instead of a plain Venue Hire consider using a movie theatre.

Concord is a young Swiss watch manufacturer compare with other manufacturers from Swiss. It was found in the year of 1908. The company has been producing timepieces of exceptional beauty and craftsmanship and movements since its foundation. Usually, a timepiece of this company is available in various styles and colors. This company is known by people mostly because of the world’s flattest analog watch, with a total thickness of 1. 98mm. That timepiece was first introduced in 1979. And the name of the company was known by more and more people at that time soon after the introduction of this special watch. One year later, the Concord Delirium IV broke the 1mm barrier. That is one of the reasons why Concord is one of the most famous watch brands today. In fact, it is good at manufacturing special timepieces with special features. The Saratoga sports collection, which was introduced in 1986, was famous for distinctive eight-sided bezel and the patented latch crown protector. Almost all the products of the company are expensive. Yet most people love them because of their uniqueness. That is the reason why many people are looking for discount Concord watches these days. The Concord Women's 310971 Delirium is a combination of modern and classic. To produce such a timepiece is not difficult at all to the company. This one is impressive with a deliciously warm 18 karat yellow gold case. The sculpted rectangular case, which features an exquisitely thin edge, makes the timepiece looks eye-catching. Like other timepieces of the brand, it is also thin. The sunray-patterned silver face, the case and the blue hands are perfect matches. The stationary bezel is also made of yellow gold. It is not suitable to wear it for swimming as it is only water resistant for 30 meters. With a precise Swiss quartz movement, it walks accurately. And the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal tells us that it is a durable and high quality accessory. Even though it is luxurious with the yellow gold case and bezel, the black leather strap adds something modern to it. The silver dial is another special feature of it. This timepiece is more than 1, 000 dollars. Discount Concord watches are not easy to find. If a person shops online, perhaps he or she can get a cheaper one. With appealing appearance and good materials, this one will be a good present for the coming Christmas or New Year's Day.

Where are your customers in the buying process? What information are they looking for at each stage of your Las Vegas marketing? No matter what your business, industry, products, services or price point, customers follow a set buying behavior or consumer buying process before making a purchase.

Customers enter the buying process at different stages. Some know exactly what they want and others may need a little more specialized attention. The goal of your Las Vegas marketing is to identify what stage of consumer buying behavior a customer has entered, and then present effective marketing, branding and customer service to move that potential customer along to the next step of buying behavior. The following six stages of the buying process truly are your golden goose that will keep laying eggs for your Nevada business.

1) Identifying A Need Or Problem — The first step of the consumer buying process involves a potential customer determining a need or problem that they need to resolve. For example, let's use buying a new computer as an example of typical buying behavior. At the first stage of the buying process, the consumer doesn't yet know they will be purchasing a new computer, but rather, they've determined their current computer starts slowly, can't handle new software, is unresponsive and appears to be failing.

2) Searching For A Solution To The Need Or Problem — In this second stage of buying behavior, the consumer begins to look for products and services as a solution to their problem. Continuing the above example of buying a computer, at this stage of consumer buyer behavior, the consumer still hasn't committed to buying the product. Instead, they'll start exploring options such as: will a larger hard drive or more memory solve my problem? Is there a software solution to speed up my slow computer? Do I have a virus that's causing my problem? Can I take my computer to an electronics store to be fixed? Do I need a new computer?

3) Evaluating Options — Now that the potential customer has completed preliminary research, they have a better understanding of what needs to be resolved and possible solutions to their problem. The consumer begins evaluating which solution is the best for their situation. Again, using a computer purchase as an example, the potential customer will start ruling out possible solutions identified in step two of consumer buying behavior. For example, the consumer might decide that software won't solve the problem of a slow computer, that their current computer is 10 years old and may need to be replaced. Adding a new hard drive or memory will only help minimally.

4) Deciding On A Product Or Service — Things are starting to come together in the buyer's mind and it's time for your Nevada business to muscle up! The consumer understands their problem or need, has completed some research, reviewed potential solutions and knows what they need to buy. In this case a new computer. At this stage of the consumer buying process, your Las Vegas marketing should be in high gear! You want to present your product or service as the buyer's solution. Branding is also critical! All of your marketing efforts at this step should be in proving to the customer that your product has the better features, will save them time and money, and anything else that will position your product as better than Joe Schmo's down the street.

5) Completing The Purchase — Hopefully at this step in the consumer buying process the customer has turned to your Nevada business for the sale. Make things easy for the customer to facilitate the purchase. And just as important as making the sale, if you don't close the deal, you need to find out why! If you can, ask the lost customer what you did wrong and what the other business did right. This is vital for refining your Las Vegas marketing to improve your control over buying behavior. But keep in mind that most people inadvertently obscure their real reasons for not buying from you. So really try to read what's going on behind their actions.

6) Reevaluating The Purchase — In this last stage of the consumer buying process, the customer will review their purchase and attempt to determine if they made the correct decision. Buyer's remorse can set in at this point. Your goal for your Las Vegas marketing and customer service is to help reaffirm that the customer made the right choice. Focus on fulfilling or exceeding expectations. Ensure that your customer support services are easily and readily available to the new customer.

Classic and modern seem to be contradictory literally, but they actually exist in every woman's dream and in every people's mind at the same time. Modern art set no limit to boundaries. All kinds of art forms or art ideas can develop freely without constraint. Pursuing Avant-garde art or reviewing classical art reflects two trends of art movement. In the same way, watches decide to embrace to the classical memory.
Longines recreates three jewelry watches of the Art Deco style, originally designed in 1917 or 1918, with an antique movement of 1970, reproducing round, long rectangular, and oval modeling. Classical decoration is carved on the 18K platinum watchcase, which reminds us of the past glorious art ages and touches our souls deeply.
Assioma D of Bvlgari is also inspired by past ages, an emotional recall of styles in 1950s. D contains three meanings: Diva which means goddess, Donna which means female, and Diamonds which means diamonds. These three meanings integrating with each other symbolize the combination of dignity, pureness and eternity.
Chanel Premiere is a piece saluting to the new page that Chanel opened twenty years ago in watch industry. The gem-studded dial of Premiere takes from Paris Place Vendome's famous octagonal shape. The long chain bracelet is made of 194 pearls, available for the use of necklace and bracelet. In both ways will make you look stunning and graceful.
It is not new to combine jewelries and watches together, which enables women to manage time elegantly. When classic meets modern, the chemistry between them will bring out the most fantastic jewelry timepiece.

(1888PressRelease) RLV (Sedley Richard Laurence Voulters) comment on the success of their recent Premier International Associates conference in London. The conference attracted over 70 top business delegates from around the world and featured a keynote speech from the internationally renowned futurist Anne Lise Kajer.

SRLV, chartered accountants and business consultants, commented today on the success of their recent Premier International Associates conference in London, which was held from the 19th — 21st November 2010. The conference attracted over 70 top business delegates from organisations around the world and featured a keynote speech from the internationally renowned futurist Anne Lise Kajer.

Premier International Associates was founded over 15 years ago by London-based SRLV in response to the growing demands of their clients for an international consultancy. Premier today offers a network of members who function as a worldwide team, with representation on every continent. This unique network unites firms of accountants, lawyers and tax advisors from 32 countries worldwide, pooling their skills to support businesses to thrive within overseas markets.

«We are very proud to have been able host an event with so many high calibre delegates. All of the member firms of Premier International Associates are carefully selected for their particular ability to help businesses flourish in overseas markets. This year's conference sparked some very interesting debates on both international commerce and ancillary support. From the feedback so far, we are delighted that so many professionals working at the pinnacle of their sectors found the event so insightful and beneficial».

The keynote speaker was Anne Lise Kjaer, of Kjaer Global, established in 1998 as an international trend forecasting consultancy. Anne Lise has an impressive client list which includes more than 100 international corporations, such as Nokia, IKEA, Unilever, Mc Kinsey & Co, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Iittala Group, Masterfoods, Sony and Toyota.

«It was especially fitting that Anne Lise contributed to the conference since her expertise lies in future trend forecasting. Both SRLV and Premier International Associates were founded with the express purpose of allowing businesses to move into future markets using innovative strategy planning and problem solving. Our clients have appreciated our willingness to provide them with access to our high calibre partners within so many major economies to use as a solid platform supporting their own dynamic growth.»

In addition to a comprehensive session schedule of key business speakers, delegates were also invited to a special reception at SRLV's new open plan headquarters in London's famous New Bond Street. Having occupied offices in nearby Conduit Street for many years, SRLV had expanded to the stage where it required larger premises. Delegates were also offered team building excursions to some of London's most iconic cultural locations, from the South Bank's Tate Modern art gallery to traditional English High Tea at Fortnum and Masons in Piccadilly.
