An Introduction of Diving Watch
Diving watch, as the name implies, is the tool that is used when we are diving in the sea. It is waterproof and damp proof. But it must be kept in mind that the ordinary water resistant one is not the diving one.
A diving watch must conform to the hard and fast rules. The wristwatch that is strong in water resistance is not a scuba one. In brief, this kind of wristwatch has a higher standard in waterproof and has the luminous hands and gradation so as to read the time under the sea.
A scuba watch has its own features. Firstly, it is water resistant to at least 200 meters. It has the rotating outer circle to measure the diving time. The divers are always in the sea that is very dark, so the hands, gradation and the dial of it are coated with fluorescent material so as to help the users read the time easily. Strictly speaking, only the watch that fit in with the standards of ISO can be called as a diving one.
What’s more, scuba watches have the equipment that can prevent the helium from invading it. Generally, in the deep sea, the divers use the mixture of helium and oxygen so as to reduce the phenomenon of being paralytic and buffer the time of reducing pressure and rising. But the helium can penetrate into the wristwatch through the high-pressure environment outside and that can make the pressure be the same no matter in or out of it. The pressure can be imbalanced soon, though. If we don’t have the valve to discharge the helium, the case is easy to burst. Therefore, this equipment is designed for those who are working undersea over a long period of time.
A diving watch is not an ordinary waterproof one. It has its own standards. Being practical, it is sure to be the good partner of the divers.
